US-based Petroleum Intelligence Weekly (PIW) has recently announced its rankings of Top 50 Largest Oil Companies in 2015. CNPC has kept the third place as in 2014, and this marks the 15th consecutive year for the company to be listed among PIW's top 10.
The Top 10 in this year's rankings are: Saudi Aramco, National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), China National Petroleum Company (CNPC), ExxonMobil, Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Royal Dutch Shell, BP, Rosneft, Gazprom, and Total. The rankings are relatively stable compared with last year, showing the endurance and sustainability of such major NOCs and IOCs in the face of low oil prices. Specifically, the total oil and gas reserves, oil and gas production, refining capacity, and sales volume of petroleum products of the top 10 companies account for 30%-50% of the world's total respectively.
